About AABC

The Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências (Annals of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences) is the official journal of the Academy and one of the oldest scientific publications in Brazil (starting in 1929). The official journal of the Academy was first termed Revista da Sociedade de Sciencias do Brasil (1917-1919), replaced by Revista Brasileira de Sciencias (1920-1922), and then replaced by Revista da Academia Brasileira de Sciencias (1926 and 1928), which was not published on a regular basis before 1929. Worth mentioning of Revista Brasileira de Sciencias is Einstein's paper on the theory of light, in 1926.

The main objective of the Annals is to publish original research findings in the fields covered by the Academy. The Editorial Board coordinates and evaluates the articles to be published. Volumes are published in a quarterly basis. Following the editorial board's recommendation, issues on special themes are published as Supplements to the Annals.

Back issues of all previously published volumes are available directly from the Subscriptions Office.
